CYCLONE JUDY VANUATU

Cyclone Judy (Category 3) ripped through Port Vila the capital of Vanuatu on Wednesday morning 1st March with winds up to 200kph. Thankfully the Victory School of Hope we partner with was undamaged but Victory Church suffered extensive damage and will need major repairs.

Word has also come through that the island of Tanna in the south has suffered major damage and lost their banana and vegetable crops which will take months to regrow causing a shortage of food on the island. Missionary Ventures Australia is working with Pastor Zebedee in Port Vila to help with rebuilding his church and also to send a shipment of rice down to Tanna where his churches will distribute it to those in need.

They are now getting prepare for Cyclone Kevin with in bearing down on Port Vila before they have the chance of cleaning up from Cyclone Judy.
